Week 2 ...we are slowwwwwwwwwwing down!

Well, we have now made it two weeks and we are doing fine. Russ has been faxing and emailing resume's left and right. He had an interview today with a garden industry this morning. We will see how that goes! PRAY!!!

Jason has done excellent in homeschooling this week. He made a 100 on both his spelling and math tests today and got to do some extra art projects today because of that! Watch out Nana and GDad....you will be getting one of them in the mail! (-; His behavior has improved every day and we also have hooked up with a GREAT post adoption group/agency. We found a whole plethera of resources for Jason! PRAISE GOD! We even signed him up to go to his first sleepaway camp this June (all adopted kids). He is very excited. He is starting to get the hang of this Southern thing!

We are starting to get a little settled. We will be taking a membership class with Double Oak Community Church (www.doubleoak.org) to see what they are about. We have committed to taking some time and getting to know a church...being involved in some things but taking our time to find the right church to meet all of our needs. pray with us on that too!

Continue to pray as we go and look for a car. We can't get financing since Russ doesnt have a job so I guess we need to pray for a job for Russ ASAP.

Some Things Stay the Same!

Well, we had our first experience with Social Services and getting Jasons services reactivated in AL. WHAT A PAIN! The one that DOESNT change ANYWHERE is the red tape that comes with getting services...yuk yuk yuk! Good thing I had experience from working at Graffiti and the Association with helping others get their benefits! AAAAAAAAAAMAZING!

Today is a beautiful day ! Russ is teaching since I am waiting on call backs from these services! That gives me time to do some other things like actually answer mail from friends too! It will be 68 degrees today! YEA!

We are so blessed to be able to stay with our friends Jim and Bev. They have been VERY gracious to us as we have come in like storm to their beautiful home and brought in "a kid" ! They are awesome.They are letting us use their car when we need and do things that need to get done to get Russ a job! PRAISE THE LORD!

Well, here are some "snow" pictures we had from that "blizzard " that hit the Atlantic Coast! We got about an inch and a half! NOW DONT LAUGH NEW YORKERS!! We know what you got! IT WAS NICE not to have to trudge through all that snow and dirty slush! hehe

Happy Valentines Day

Hey all!

Well, our Valentine's Day started on a weird note but got better really quick! While Russ is not working we are starting to walk together in the mornings and have a little family time as the day starts out! That has been fun. We all exchanged homemade Valentine's and will be going to Cracker Barrell for dinner tonight! Woohoo!

Our church experience has been good so far! We are visiting right now at Double Oak Community Church and it is nice. A definite Graffiti feel to it! We will see. Jason has connected with some of the kids there.

This week has started out great with Jasons school! He wrote a Valentines Haiku for his family!
