Update

Russ got a temporary job doing groundskeeping! This will give us some more income till he finds a more permanent job! He starts Monday and works Monday-Thursday! YEA GOD!

God is Good

Hi there!

Wednesday was a day of many meetings!

We met with Hope Christian School(www.hopecs.net) who sponsors our homeschool and they were great. We learned a lot about the process and got a "support group" that goes on Field trips together etc....We signed Jason up for Chess Club and Boy Scouts. He is excited.

I met with WMU(Womens Missionary Union) to talk about some contract work with them doing some writing and helping in Multicultural Ministries and Childrens work. I am going to be proposing a new book too on the church ministering to adoptive families. I am very excited about that.

Last night we spoke at Huffman Baptist Church which is the church where Lisa became a Christian. We spoke about missions in NYC and they were so generous with a large love gift to us. We felt very at home there and will be visiting there in a few weeks. Lisa saw some old college friends there as well. That was fun!

We are homeschooling today..it is 75 degrees and lovely. We are glad to be here today!

New Jersey neighbors

Well, isn't it interesting....Bev's next door neighbor is from NEW JERSEY! Ellie and her daughter moved here from NJ a few years back and she is the sweetest thing. Grandmother type...We have talked quite a bit about our common experiences in NY/NJ and she and Lisa are big Mary Higgins Clark fans! She is nice and it is good to have some familiar friends here!

Fun things lately.....NJ neighbors...watching a house being built across the street(Jason and Russ went outside today in our 70 plus suny weather to watch the cement truck dump cement for the driveway...that was very fun for Jason. )

We found a great therapist for Jason....her name is Susan and she is very bubbly and sweet. She knows her stuff and pegged Jason's needs immediately. She is very family oriented and wants us to meet together with her as a family more often than not!

Russ is still plugging away...we have heard from others here that everyone is REALLY slow to hire around here. He has sent out over 50 resumes and no one is biting right now. Continue to pray as it is hard on him.....

Jason has said two Southern words now without thinking...."thang"(translated thing) and "hee ah" (translated here) and oh yeah...."yea-ah" (translated yeah!). Thought that was funny! He has grown another inch or two in just the past month!

Tomorrow I talk with some folks about freelance/contract work...be in prayer.
