A great quote to ponder as we think about living out our faith here
in the Greater Montgomery area. If we call ourselves followers of
Christ, we must love our neighbor, despite who we think they are. There
are no conditions on what Jesus said.In fact, it is quite simple.
".....The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." Mark 12:31
"We instinctively tend to limit for whom we exert ourselves. We do it
for people like us, and for people whom we like. Jesus will have none of
that. By depicting a Samaritan helping a Jew, Jesus could not have
found a more forceful way to say that anyone at all in need - regardless
of race, politics, class, and religion - is your neighbor. Not everyone
is your brother or sister in faith, but everyone is your neighbor, and

1. Pray for ourselves that we would truly have the heart change to love our neighbor.
2. Pray for the Christian churches in our area, that they would look at those outside the walls of the church building and love their neighbors.
3. Pray for those who are our neighbor...that our life will so shine in God's love that they will see us as different....as children of the TRUE God.
