More Avenues to Explore My Artistic Side-Photography

We are having an auction for Samaritan Inn Ministries which is a ministry through the Montgomery Baptist Association. A friend donated a photograph for the auction and I thought....hmmmm...I have some good pictures I have taken over the years and back in the 90's I had started taking photos with a manual camera and LOVED it. Black and White is my favorite but have come to love full color and sepia. Im going to have to get a better camera if I want to fully get back into it. Maybe since the boys are getting ready to graduate, I am ready to resume' some things I loved and was passionate about in earlier years.

Here is one photo that I am donating to the auction. I am stepping up and taking a risk to show my stuff and be "judged" by the public. Scary but ready to do it! Wish me luck!

I am really excited to have been a part of this book that is coming out. It is about people(including me)who were transformed through the ministries of E. 7th Baptist Ministry, Graffiti. During my tenure there, God took a young, naive girl from Birmingham, AL and transformed her life. I am so grateful for the way the Lord changed me in many areas but in one particular that shaped me for the rest of my life.

Happy 2014!

I can't believe that it is 2014. A lot of pain and sadness happened in 2013 but through it healing continues to take place. S is doing better(12 weeks of no stealing).  J is happy that this is his last semester of school. Russ and I are glad that over all, this past Christmas was better than it has ever been with the boys. We think that some maturity is happening and we are doing the happy dance! Now, we need to help them sustain that!
