Hey all!
We have arrived in Montgomery AND we are getting settled. The duplex is good. Roomy! (well for all you NYC-ers...you know what that means LOTS OF SPACE...for all you Alabamians and suburbanites.., you know that it is small compared to what you are used to! hehehe BUT WE ARE HAPPY) BUT..we have a huge yard front AND back and a cool barn like garage that Jason has already claimed to be his play area..AND his school is one block away!
We arrived on Monday and Jason, Russ and I unloaded our truck on a very hot day temps peaking at 102 degrees! We got all in...fell into bed and got up the next day to finish and do errands. We went twenty four hours with out water and that was a trip! It reminded me hauntingly of my trips to South Africa and Ukraine but water got turned on, cable and phone WERE on and now we just need HOT WATER!! Alagasco is a little slow down here! Cable and phone are having hiccups but we are sure it will all get resolved soon! But we are almost unpacked, got Jason registered at Morningview Elementary (home of the Mustangs!) and now we are at the library having a cool down time! Montgomery is HOT HOT HOT!! No rain for days now and sweltering heat! But we are having fun!
Going to get school supplies today and get Russ on the road to jobs!!!
I start at Montgomery Baptist Association as the Church and Communtiy ministries Director on Tuesday the 15th so that I can get Jason in school etc!!! YEA!! We will begin a appointment with NAMB again this next week! PRAY that everything goes well! www.mgmbaptist.org
