Life Lessons

A friend wrote me the other day after I had had a bad day and reminded that when Jesus was in the boat with the disciples and the big storm came up....the disciples freaked and thought they were going to be killed by the tossing fo the boat while Jesus lay sleeping. But..he did not. He reminded them of having faith and trust in the Father. I sometimes feel that I wil be left alone to go through the storms, but am reminded that my heavenly Father will always be there. We have to shift the sails and go with the wind instead of resisting it.

That old saying "what we resist, persists" is so true too. I sometimes resist trusting in the Father to take care of me. And what persisits...doubt, stress, anxiety! This week, I yelled at my husband, grounded the kid and saw my blood pressure go up really high for really...no GOOD reason. We have a place to sleep, food to eat and a car to drive and most of all we are together. There really is no reason to fret! When will I learn????..Lisa

Lisa heard from her sister today that UAB hospital is going to interview her for the position of director of volunteers. Please pray that either the job in Montgomery OR the job at UAB comes through SOON. Pray that Russ hears something from the places that he has applied.

Jason is doing better. He just has a few more weeks of school left for the year. I will miss homeschooling him but money calls! heehehe We had a good bonding time together. I know he will enjoy being in a classroom again..but the other day, he came up anmd hugged me and told me that I was the best teacher he had ever had. That meant a lot. I cried!.... Lisa

Going to a picnic in Saturday with some friends from high school and their families! That will be a trip down memory lane!

Peace
