Our Little Corner of the World

Here is a picture our the front of our humble home! We still have a lot of work to do but we like it and the neighborhood. Morniningview is an older neighborhood(mostly brick homes from the 70s)and we hear that in the spring, the azaleas come out in full bloom there. We cant wait to see that.

This is a picture of Jason at our school open house in his classroom. His uniform is Khaki pants and red or white polos.

We enrolled Jason in Taekwondo this last week and he loves it. The instructors are trained to teach children with ADD and other attention deficit challenges. So far, that reward system has worked with him. He has a green tape for knowing his stances and he earned a star for good academic achievement at school.

We are grateful because this also allows us(the grown ups)to have about 45 minutes of "couple time" while he is in class. We go get dinner or a soda and just sit and talk. Rule is: no child talk during that time! hee

Work for Lisa is going well. She wrote a grant for a ministry here and they called and are interested in hearing more. YEA GOD! www.mgmbaptist.org

Russ has had two interviews with some garden companies and one this week. We are excited.

Most of all..we are here to tell you that every day, God provides our daily bread. We are amazed that each day, we have food to eat and a place to live. We know that we are supposed to be here and so much has worked out. We are so blessed by what He has given us and we continue to be grateful for the little things! Know that He is Provider...Jehovah Jirah. Whatever you need..he will provide. Joshua 1:9

We joined Ridgecrest Baptist Church here in Montgomery. They have typically been a traditional white church but this new pastor has shaken things up a bit! It is slowly becoming a more mixed ethnic church. The whole neighborhood behind us are African American, working, good folks! We hope to be able to help reach out to the community with this church and see how the Lord works!

Jason has a lot of childrens activities coming up and we are mostly excited about that! He is a part of Royal Ambassadors Mission group and Awanas.
