This is by far the best picture that communicates Jason's spirit!
I was reading a blog of a mom friend who has a son with special needs. She was asked what it was she was most proud of with her son. I have been asked that too. She made a list and I decided that today I needed to make a list too. Jason has been a bright spot in our family the last 8 1/2 years and we are so blessed to have him come into our family. The Rose family will never be the same(in a good way)because of Jason.
So, here is my list of what I am proud of in Jason:
1. I am proud that he has overcome A LOT and he has done most of the work. He is a different person than he was when he arrived into our home like a bull in a china shop!
2. He gets up and bounces out of bed most days with a smile on his face and ready for action!
(Wish I could be that way).
3. He is extremely tender-hearted and hurts deeply for others who are hurting.
4. Even when Steven was at his worst behavior, Jason still defended him and loved him despite what he did.
5. Even when Steven stole from him, Jason would just say, "that's ok. He needs it more than me."
6. He has a very forgiving heart.
7. He just trucks right along and looks past others meanness at school when they tease him and call him names. He still just treats them with care and friendship.
8. I am proud that despite his learning difficulties, he continues to want to learn all he can. He used to hate school! Now, he loves it!
9. I am proud that he has a good work ethic. Not many kids do today!
10. I am proud that he is a helper. Never had to ask him twice to do a chore.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit . . . those who mourn . . . the meek . . . those who hunger and thirst for righteousness . . . the merciful . . . the pure in heart . . . the peacemakers . . . those who are persecuted because of righteousness. . . . Blessed are you when people insult you . . . and falsely say all kinds of evil against you. . . . Great is your reward in heaven.” (Matthew 5:3–12 NIV)
