Poison Ivy and Easter Eggs!

Well..welcome back to Alabama Lisa! Lisa got a welcome home present of some POISON IVY from somewhere....must be all those trips to Oak Mountain State Park. Yep...she has been itching and trying not to scratch all weekend...also, the mosquitoes must have heard that she was back because they have come at her as well...9 mosquito bites on one arm...and not one on Russ or Jason...hmmmmmmmmm..who is the sweetest here???

This past weekend we celebrated Easter starting on Friday with a Good Friday service at church at noon. It was very moving and we spent the rest of the day contemplating Jesus' love for us. How awesome. Russ and I watched The Passion Again and it was just as moving too.

Saturday, we played and went to an Easter block party at one of the churches here. They had all sorts of rides etc. See the pictures that we will put up shortly! Jason had a blast and we all had fun.

Sunday brought church with some awesome music . The choir directors wife is an opera singer and spends several months a year up in Manhattan singing for the Met. She sang "Jerusalem" for the special music. It was great. Afterwards, we took a picnic to the State Park, went swimming and just releaxed. Jason dug in the sand while Russ and I read the Sunday paper. What a day..came home and had an Easter Egg hunt in the front yard. Afterwards, we called friends and talked while enjoying the last part of the day.

Some sad news.....Lisa's brother in law, Mike's mom, Zellie, died on Saturday...we were all supposed to go over to Cathy's for dinner on Sunday and then this sad day happened. She had a heart attack and went quickly. She was suffering form Altzheimers(beginning stages) . She is with the Lord now and we are sad but happy for her to be relieved of the pain. Pray for Cathy and Mike as they get all her estate in order.

Things are moving along. Several job opportunities have come up for Lisa and one for Russ. They are all possibilities but no one is rushing to hire right now. Pray for our patience.

We will be moving in May to an apartment of our own. We are excited and ready. We will let you all know when and where.

Jason continues to do well in school and growing like a leaf! His therapy sessions are going great and he is getting through some of the issues that he has had heavy on his heart over the last 3 years. Our therapist is a God send!

Well..picutres are coming. God Bless everyone and enjoy the newness of spring!

Russ, Lisa and Jason
