Tornado Season has arrived!

Well, this past weekend we got off to an interesting start! On Friday, the weather folks told us that we would be experiencing high winds and severe storms that day. We all got ready and waited and waited and nothing happened. After 2 am on Saturday, our friends Bev and Jim woke us up to tell us that we had a tornado WARNING in our area and so we all went downstairs to wait to go into the closets. The lights went out and luckily, there was a generator in the house, so Jim turned it on and we watched and listened. Luckily the sited funnel cloud either died out OR went the other direction because soon, it all went away and the storms passed. We all went back to bed. Jason was all hyped up. The last few days he has been talking about tornadoes all day long. This is new to he and Russ. Lisa grew up with this all the time. April-June is TORNADO season here in AL and already, there have been 100 funnel clouds/tornadoes since the first part of April in the southeast and midwest. That is quite unusual. What a welcome back to Alabama! We are very grateful that no one was hurt herre and we pray for those in TN who lost loved ones AND property!

Things are going along. We have been having some good family time together with this new lifestyle and so that has been good. Continue to pray as some opportunities have come up and we are having to pray about which one we should go with job wise!

Hope all is well. Holy week is here and our prayer for you, our friends and family, is that you will truly experience the Joy and Peace of God through His Son, Jesus. Jesus came and died to bring New Life to our broken world. He came and died so that He could take the burdens that we bear off our shoulders and make the laod easier. He came and died so that we can have wisdom to make the right choices in our life to spare us pain and sorrow. He came and died to bring us renewal and restoration when we do mess up so that we can start over again! His love and peace are what we ALL can have each day if we turn over our burdens and lives to Him. As you go to services this next week, remember that this is not a "tradition", it is a REAL ACT of love for you and me. We can begin again...every day! There is a great verse for the journey of life that I love to quote and remember: "Whether we look to the left or to the right, we will hear a voice saying , this is the way, follow it" (Isaiah 30:20-21) The Lord has given us the ability to HEAR his voice. Open your heart and ears and hear the calling of Jesus to come to Him.

Blessing and a very happy Easter to you all!
Russ, Lisa and Jason
