As you can see, Jason's BIG present this year was a puppy. She is a Chow/Lab(we think)mix and she is 8 weeks old. Jason named her Cheyenne. She is very sweet and the cats actually don't mind her...actually they just sniff her and then move on back to the bedroom.
Unfortunately, we had a storm this afternoon and the lights went out from 5-730pm. We had cake by candle light and it was fun. We then played Scrabble in the near dark. Then the lights came on and we had a veggie/dip and chips meal for dinner.
Over all Jason had a great birthday. He was thoroughly surprised! We made him guess for 3 days what his present was and he never did. Our friends above, the Swedenburgs, gave Jason the puppy.
Thanks to all who made Jason's birthday special! The phone calls meant a lot to him. He also received some spending money, a few Bionicles and some dog accessories!
